USDA Opens Enrollment For The Conservation Reserve Program

Signup for USDA’s Continuous Conservation Reserved Program is now underway.  Producers and landowners wishing to enroll acreage can do so now through March 20th.  In addition, general CRP acreage signup scheduled to start March 9th; the grassland CRP signup has not been determined.

“This year, we only have about 1.9 million acres that are available for CRP enrollment, and that's because of the 27 million acre cap that is statutory," FSA Administrator Bill Beam said.  "That being said, we're going to be looking at our high priority practices that really deliver us the real and lasting benefits to our soil, water, and wildlife."
