China can be full of opportunity according to Terry Branstad, the man who has been selected by President Trump to be the Ambassador to China.

Branstad said China already is importing American agriculture.

“Already China imports more U.S. soybeans than all the rest of the other counties in the world combined. China has become a major importer of American pork as well. And we soon we hope to reopen the market for American beef.”

China stopped importing beef from the U.S. after an outbreak of mad cow disease, but Branstad said that was 14 years ago and the industry has made the appropriate corrections.

“Mad cow disease is long since gone in this country and there’s no reason why the Chinese should continue to restrict American beef.”

Branstad said he looks forward to feeding U.S. beef to Chinese officials and visitors at the U.S. embassy in Beijing.
