President Trump signed the $1.3 trillion omnibus budget bill on Friday.  Which included a new funding structure for fighting wildfires.  Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue addressed the idea of fighting wildfires earlier this month.

“Where we don’t have to borrow money to spend on fire suppression, where we could be using it on forest management to prevent forest fires.”

Also included in the bill, funds for broadband development in rural portions of the nation, as well as rural infrastructure improvements and expansions.  The budget bill also included a fix to the 199 after tax reform was passed in December.  In addition, the bill also provided full funding for Farm Bill conservation programs, as well as the elimination of regulations allowing landowners to participate in conservation programs.  The budget bill also included an exemption for livestock producers for emission reporting requirements.
