Last week, AgroLiquid, which focuses on crop liquid fertilizer solutions, announced the acquisition of Monty’s Plant Food Company which specializes in soil health and plant nutrition technology.  The acquisition will be effective January 1st, and according to AgroLiquid CEO Nick Bancroft, will bring together two family-founded businesses focused on agricultural innovation and farmer success.

“We have [slightly] different technology going to the marketplace. So, we see this as an opportunity to bring better combined technology to our growers.”

Bancroft added AgroLiquid and Monty’s different approaches will also create new opportunities to optimize nutrient efficiency and productivity for producers.  He added both companies will maintain their distinct brands and continue operating independently through the 2025 growing season.

“You know, AgroLiquid’s existing footprint in the Northwest and manufacturing logistics close by will be an opportunity for customers of Monty’s and new customers to receive improved service going forward.”

Following the acquisition, Monty’s Plant Food will continue to operate under its current name as a privately owned company, with Jeff Sangalli continuing to lead Monty’s.
