The 2022 Northwest Hort Expo will take place in Wenatchee, WA December 5th-7th.  Jon DeVaney, Executive Director of the Washington State Tree Fruit Association, said last year’s event was a hybrid, with many speakers and government officials connected via Zoom.

“And last year there were also requirements for vaccination verification, that was still state rule that you had to demonstrate that in order to be in a public venue like that.  This is the first year where it's going to be unrestricted and we're going to have most of our almost every speaker there in person.”

DeVaney said not only will the return to a pre-COVID convention be exciting, but the conference and, trade show will be of great interest to everyone in the tree fruit industry.

“In addition to having a lot of technological vendors and service vendors at the trade show this year.  In Wenatchee, we're always the Wenatchee Convention Center, but this year we have so many more exhibitors that were also at the [Town] Toyota Center so there's going to be a whole lot of additional vendors to see.  The conference portion you need to register for but the trade show is open to anyone who's interested free.  So, you can come to that portion see the vendor see the new technology even if you're not coming into here the presentations by our speakers.”
