The 2017 Oregon farm Bureau annual Meeting and Convention will take place in Pendleton Tuesday through Thursday.  The annual event, according to OFB’s Anne Marie Moss allows those tied to the Ag industry an opportunity to discuss the pressing issues facing farmers and ranchers, and how to speak as a unified front.

As in year’s past, Oregon Farm Bureau President Barry Bushue will speak, addressing several issues that impact the Beaver State.  But Moss says this year, American Farm Bureau Federation President Zippy Duvall will be in attendance, his first trip to Oregon since becoming the AFBF President.

What will Duvall discuss?

“Tax reform, regulatory reform, ag labor which is huge for Oregon, trade, the Farm Bill, and an update on the Waters of the U.S. issue, or WOTUS,” Moss said.

Moss said this not only is this the 85th annual convention, but the event is held in the same community where the Oregon Farm Bureau was established 100 years ago.  To learn more about this year’s Convention, visit OFB's Website.
