One of USDA's top leaders is urging more young people to consider careers in agriculture.  Deputy Ag Secretary Stephen Censky is reminding hundreds of 4-H'ers around the country at the National Youth Summit on Agra Science that it really is a broad category including things like plant, animal and food science.
"People have a misunderstanding of agriculture. I don't think young people today appreciate what an exciting field it is," Censky said.
He also pointed out that the developments of agriculture are very much up to date.
"We really are on the cutting edge of so many technology's and where some of the latest scientific discoveries, there first application is in agriculture," Censky added
The 4-H meeting brings together agra science experts and more than 150 high school students from around the country.
