2016 Weed Control Reports are Out

WSU released their weed control reports for 2016 that talks the impact that several different weed control products on spring and winter wheat, alfalfa, dry peas, chickpeas and chemical fallow.

“People should realize that some of these uses are not labeled so you need to be careful and make sure you have a use label before you use it.

The goal of the reports is to help landowners with the most updated data, but also work with the chemical companies who are trying to provide products.

Lyon said it’s important to make sure that we know what the right products are for our area.

“The Pacific Northwest is quite different from a lot of the rest of the country and so I think it’s important that we take a look at these products and uses in our environment and see what their plusses and minuses are.”
