Farmers that suffered loses last year because of a wild fire, you can now sign up for the "Wildfire-Hurricane Indemnity Program" better known as WHIP.  Under Agriculture Secretary Bill Northy said to apply, you need to visit your local FSA office, and provide specific needed information.

"How many acres they farm, where those acres are at, a production history, and then the loses that were suffered."

In all cases, once you've got the application approved, funding should come in a short amount of time.

"There'll be initial payments of what is expected to be 50% of the coverage of the loss for that WHIP program."

Sign-ups are underway now and will run through November 16th.
