According to NASS, all Wheat stocks stored across the Northwest increased 9% from December 1st 2018.

 

In Washington, wheat stored in all positions, as of  December 1st 2019, totaled 128 million bushels, up six million bushels from a year ago.  Off-farm stocks were up 5%, while on-farm stocks were unchanged from previous year.

 

In Oregon, wheat stored topped out at 42.2 million bushels, up from 37.7 million bushels a year ago.  Oregon off-farm stocks were up 16%, while on-farm stocks were down 4% compared to the previous year.

 

Meanwhile, wheat in storage in Idaho totaled 79.5 million bushels on December 1st up 11.5 million bushels year over year.  Off-farm stocks were up 6%, while on-farm stocks were up 32% compared to the previous year.

 

Nationally, wheat stored in all positions totaled 1.83 billion bushels, down from 2.01 billion bushels a year ago.  Off-farm stocks were down 13%, while on-farm stocks were up 3% compared to the previous year.

 

Barley stocks in Idaho totaled 51.6 million bushels in Idaho, up from 44.8 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 1%, while on-farm stocks were up 31% compared to the previous year.  In Oregon, barley stored in all positions totaled 1.26 million bushels. Off-farm stocks were 839,000 bushels, while on-farm stocks were 420,000 bushels.  In Washington, barley stored in all positions totaled 5.67 million bushels, up from 4.28 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were up 33%, while on-farm stocks were up 32% from previous year.  Nationally, barley stored in all positions totaled 151 million bushels, down from 153 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 21%, while on-farm stocks were up 22 percent compared to the previous year.

 

Oats stored in off-farm locations in Washington totaled 85,000 bushels, unchanged from the previous year. In Idaho, off-farm oats hit 118,000 bushels, up from 101,000 bushels a year ago.  In Oregon, oats stored in off-farm locations totaled 406,000 bushels, up from 384,000 bushels a year ago. In Nationally, oats stored in all positions totaled 54.0 million bushels, down from 67.3 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 30%, while on-farm stocks were down 3% compared to the previous year.
