Both Spring and Winter Wheat production will see a bump in production in 2016 when compared to 2015.

Winter wheat forecasts show 112 million bushels in Washington, 26 percent more than 2015 while Oregon is expected to harvest 43 million bushels, a 24 percent increase and Idaho is up eight percent to 61.9 million bushels.

There will be more spring wheat as well with Oregon up 22 percent to 5.7 million bushels, Washington will hit nearly 25 million bushels up 10 percent and Idaho is expected to harvest 33 million bushels, an 11 percent jump.

Nationwide the U.S. is expected to see more winter wheat harvested than last year, but spring wheat could decline.
