The most recent forecast of wheat production in the Northwest shows declines in acreage, bushels, and apart from Oregon, yields per acre.

 

Production will drop by more than 425 million bushels in Washington, Oregon and Idaho with all four classifications of winter wheat dropping.

 

In the same report, farm wages are higher in Washington and Oregon than they are in Wyoming, Idaho and Colorado with wages for all hired workers more than a dollar higher for the week ending April 15th. Wages were $1.27 higher for field workers and $1.78 higher in livestock.
