The Washington Blueberry Commission is going to have two possible openings on its board this summer.

Chair Bryan Sakuma and Treasurer Brenton Roy have each said they would be willing to serve, but their term is up and they are willing to see some new faces.

Qualifications for board membership require that the candidate be a practical producer of blueberries, a citizen and resident of the state of Washington, over the age of eighteen years, engaged in the production of blueberries within this state for a period of five years, and has, during that time, derived a substantial portion of his/her income therefrom, and who is not engaged in business, directly or indirectly, as a handler or other dealer.
