U.S. Wheat Associates is running a new campaign, promoting the high quality of American wheat and highlight how it reaches global customers.  Ralph Loos, U.S. Wheat Associates Director of Communications, said they created a video series project that will serve as a tool to educate and highlight American wheat to buyers worldwide.

“The video starts with one of the top customers of U.S. Wheat, who is based in Mexico City, and we have him on camera. He's in his flour mill, and he talks about why he chooses to buy U.S. Wheat, and one of his big points is the transportation system, knowing that not only can he choose the wheat that he wants to buy from the U.S., but he can also depend on the fact that it's going to get there, and that's a big issue, especially for top customers.”

The project captured the journey of hard red winter wheat getting loaded onto cargo ships bound for South America, Nigeria, and Africa, showcasing the global reach of U.S. wheat.

“It was filled in the blanks in between, you know, talking to the farmers. First of all, learning about how they grow their meat, and then we had to talk about them. They also rely on the transportation system. So, for them, the important thing is, ‘We've grown this wheat, we harvested it and dropped it off at the elevator. You know, what happens to it?’”
