USDA “Sinking Their Teeth” on Trade Issues

The new U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer is still brand new in his job, but he already has one fan in the Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue.

“I’ve been very impressed by how much he, as well as Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross, have sunk their teeth into ag issues. That’s very helpful to us, and as we give them the facts and information to do better trades, whether it’s renegotiating NAFTA, or getting beef into China, I think the one team USDA, one team USA, will work.”

Perdue is still actively looking for a qualified candidate for the newly created USDA Undersecretary of Trade.
