USDA Preparing to Release Report on Rural Prosperity

Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue, the USDA and other government agencies have submitted a report improving agriculture and rural prosperity to the White House for review.

Perdue said they will release the results of their near six months of meetings, listening sessions and research to the public soon.

“We’ve got some specific, executable action items that we think will be helpful. We’ll be making specific recommendations on how we think we can help rural America succeed and thrive. That includes things like access to capital, infrastructure improvement, so I don’t want to pre-empt that. Stay tuned for that report.”

The report was submitted to the White House in late October.
