Rural economic opportunities are exploding in the United States thanks to a new generation of entrepreneurs and support from a wide variety of groups.

Tim Lampkin said there are many ways to succeed.

“Two young twins in Clarksdale, MS that are starting a jelly and a jam company; they use the farmers market to test their products, selling their products each and every week to see how they can really scale up their business. I think about another entrepreneur is creating cakes and selling those cakes online and doing all these things.”

USDA is also working to develop housing and economic opportunities and introducing the next generation of agriculture producers.
