Many farmers wonder if WOTUS is coming back anytime soon.  Environmental Protection Agency head Scott Pruitt said that won't be the case.  He said his agency took steps to rescind it, and it will stay rescinded.

The second step, though, is to come up with,  "a substitute definition of what the Water of the United States will be going forward, d that's extremely important, to enhance certainty and provide confidence to the American people that we are acting consistent with our authority on the Clean Water Act. We need to provide a solid definition in that regard."

Pruitt added he hopes to have that out for public comment by the end of June.  Comments will be evaluated, then the final rule will go out for comment.

"And we'll be done with that process, preferably, by the end of the year."
