Some recently sold native weed mixes designed to provide bee and other pollinator friendly habitat has been contaminated with Palmer Amaranth according to WSU.

The Weed Science Society of America ranked Palmer amaranth is the most troublesome weed in the U.S.

The most recent tainted weed mixes have been sold in the Midwest where a concerted effort is being made by the ag community to plant pollinator-friendly habitat.

The Weed Science Society of America recommends testing of seed mixes to make sure they are free from Palmer Amaranth.
