Northwest Cherries Nearly Done with Harvest

The second peak of cherry season is under way with Skeena, Lapins, Regina and Sweetheart now shipping out of the Northwest.

Through July 20^th, the industry had shipped about 18.5 million boxes with a real possibility of surpassing the fourth estimate of 25 million pound boxes.

July has so far had a record of boxes per day with more than 536,000, far surpassing the 478,000 of 2014.

According to Northwest Cherries, China and Korea lead the world in consumption of Northwest Cherries.
