The second peak of cherry season is under way with Skeena, Lapins, Regina and Sweetheart now shipping out of the Northwest.

 

Through July 20th, the industry had shipped about 18.5 million boxes with a real possibility of surpassing the fourth estimate of 25 million pound boxes.

 

July has so far had a record of boxes per day with more than 536,000, far surpassing the 478,000 of 2014.

 

According to Northwest Cherries, China and Korea lead the world in consumption of Northwest Cherries.
