Newhouse, Other Reps Asking for DACA Solution

Washington Representative Dan Newhouse is one of a group of 34 House Republicans who authored a letter to Speaker Paul Ryan asking that a fix for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program be put before the House prior to the end of the year.

In the letter, the group says that more than 700,000 young people face an uncertain future in the United States.

Newhouse specifically said, “For thousands of DACA recipients across the nation, including 17,000 in my home state, every day without a legislative solution brings more uncertainty about their future. DACA recipients should not be a political football.”
