Newhouse and Reichert Honored by WSFB

Representatives Dan Newhouse and Dave Reichert were each honored as Friends of the Farm Bureau during the annual meeting of the Chelan/Douglas County Farm Bureau.

Representative Dave Reichert said, “When you’re in Congress you can get caught up and lost in the daily rush and grind of moving through your day. Coming back home and attending an event like this and being recognized for your efforts in trying to make things better for our hard working farmers is absolutely critical and it’s an honor to receive this award.”

Representative Dan Newhouse echoed Reichert’s sentiments.

“The Farm Bureau has meant a lot to me over my career. I was born on a farm and have been involved in ag and Farm Bureau my whole life. So to be singled out and awarded this prestigious honor means a tremendous amount to me.”

The Washington State Farm Bureau and American Farm Bureau Federation honor legislators every year that they feel are fighting for the farmers and are supporting legislation that the AFBF believes in.
