Newhouse Announces 2nd Annual App Design Challenge

Representative Dan Newhouse has announced the second annual mobile application design challenge.

Last year’s winner was an agricultural job finder app was created by students at Harrison Middle School in Sunnyside.

The deadline to submit an entry is November 2 nd and winners will be selected by a panel of local judges.

They will also get a prize tour of Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and their app will be features on a video display in the U.S. Capitol Building.

Newhouse says, “The Congressional App Challenge is a great opportunity for young, tech-savvy people to highlight their creativity while building STEM skills.”
