Jasper Yield Numbers Top Check Cultivars
Wheat growers are getting ready to plant their crops for the upcoming season, if they haven’t done so already and one WSU breeder is showcasing one of their newest varieties.
Washington State University Wheat Breeder Arron Carter has released results of a variety trial to show the potential of the new Jasper variety.
In nearly all cases, the Jasper variety showed moderate to significant jumps in bushels per acre.
The tests took place at various fields in Davenport, Lind, Harrington and Ritzville.
