GOP Says They Are Ready To Address Issues In Washington
The 2025 legislative session got underway in Olympia Monday. House Republicans said they are ready to get to work to Fix Washington. House Republican Leader Drew Stokesbary said the state is facing a catalog of crises, largely driven by failed single-party government policies.
“We have the third highest gas prices in the nation, the fourth highest grocery prices. We are the third most expensive state for housing prices, the fifth most expensive rent. We've got the seventh most expensive childcare; 63% of children don't even have access to childcare nearby."
Stokesbary went on to say Republicans are ready to address the issues facing Washington by offering meaningful and constructive policy solutions.
"No matter the issue, Madam Speaker, Republicans on this side of the aisle will remain focused on the priorities of hard-working families across our state; Families that are striving to make ends meet, build better lives for their children; Families who want to feel safe in their homes and communities."
The 105-day legislative session is scheduled to run through April 27th.
