Fire Destroys Wenatchee Packing House

Fires destroyed apple packing plant in Wenatchee over the weekend.

Phillipi Fruit in Wenatchee saw their packing warehouse burn on Fifth Street in Wenatchee Friday night. Chelan County Fire Chief Mike Burnett said the warehouse was a total loss, so they focused their efforts on preventing the fire from spreading to a nearby warehouse that was just five feet away.

Officials have not speculated as to the cause of the fire and are currently investigating.
