After cancelling the event at the Prosser orchard due to slow fruit development, WSU is hosting a field day for the WA-38 variety, better known as the Cosmic Crisp Wednesday September 27th at the Sunrise Orchard near Wenatchee.

More than 635,000 trees have already been planted of the WA-38, so WSU and the Washington State Tree Fruit Research Commission are hoping field days such as these provide good information on training systems, pruning systems, rootstocks, pollinizers, and management techniques for high quality fruit.

This field day will focus on management tips for consistent superior fruit quality and will be led by Doctors Stefano Musacchi, Ines Hanrahan and Karen Lewis.

The field day runs from 3-5:00 p.m. For more information, visit TreeFruit.WSU.edu.
