The USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service has released 2017 results for cash rents across the Northwest and both Oregon and Washington saw increases for cropland, but decreases for pasture.

 

Cropland in Oregon was up 11 percent averaging $152 per acre, $205 per irrigated acre and $90 per non-irrigated acre. Washington was up 1.5 percent to $198 per acres, $350 for irrigated and $73 for non-irrigated.

 

Pasture cash rents dropped in both Northwest states, Oregon by eight percent, Washington by 11 percent.

 

The most expensive irrigated cropland in Oregon was in Multonomah County, average $256 per acre. In Washington, the most expensive cost per acre for irrigated land was in Okanogan County at the cost of $430 per acre.
