"I see farmers deploying cutting edge tools to make soil the next frontier in carbon innovation," President Biden said at his climate summit back in April announcing the Agricultural Innovation Mission for climate, or AIM, for Climate.

"And AIM for climate has of goal of increasing accelerating global innovation research and development and agriculture food systems in support of climate action," said Deputy Agriculture Secretary Jewel Bronaugh during her recent trip to Rome where the United Nations hosted an international meeting to set things up for a big world system summit later this year. When the AIM for Climate initiative was announced a half dozen or so countries signed on to it then.

"While in Rome we've been working hard to encourage other countries to join is in the agricultural innovation mission for climate."

And during the three day meeting Bronaugh said they've gotten another 10 nations to join in. Many more could be involved by the time UN Food System Summit takes place in New York in late September.
