U.S. agriculture exports are off to a better start this fiscal year than last according to USDA economist Bryce Cooke.

For the months of October and November, exports were valued at $14.3 billion.

Cooke said that, “Is the highest total for any given month going back two years to November of 2014.”

That continues a trend of growth back to May of 2016 which Cooke said was the start of an upward trend that brought the first 11 months of 2016 passed the same period of 2015.

“There were increases in the value and volume of corn and soybeans compared with the first 11 months of 2015. In value terms corn increased by 18 percent, soybeans increased by 19 percent.”

Corn volumes were up 24 percent and soybean up 20 percent.
