A Clarkston based company is recalling nearly 500 pounds of beef jerky.  4 Frendz, LLC recalled the jerky products due to under-processing and potential survival of bacterial pathogens in the products.  The items were produced between August 10th and April 11th, in 3 ounce packages, and distributed across Washington and Idaho.  The problem was discovered during a comprehensive USDA Food Safety Inspection.  There have been no confirmed reports of health problems with this beef jerky product.

 

The items were produced from Aug. 10, 2015 to April 11, 2016. The following products are subject to recall:

  • 3-oz. VACUUM-PACKED packages containing “SOUTHFORK SAUSAGE MESQUITE PEPPER JERKY.”
  • 3-oz. VACUUM-PACKED packages containing “SOUTHFORK SAUSAGE HONEY JERKY.”
  • 3-oz. VACUUM-PACKED packages containing “SOUTHFORK SAUSAGE MESQUITE JERKY.”
  • 3-oz. VACUUM-PACKED packages containing “SOUTHFORK SAUSAGE TERIYAKI JERKY.”
  • 3-oz. VACUUM-PACKED packages containing “SOUTHFORK SAUSAGE HOT HONEY JERKY.”
