Investigation Continues After Wolf Found Shot To Death In NE Oregon

The Oregon State Police Fish & Wildlife Division is asking for your help finding the person or persons responsible for shooting a wolf to death in Wallowa County. Investigators said the wolf was reported to OSP and the state Department of Fish and Wildlife on Saturday January 8^th. The collared wolf was found in the Sled Springs Wildlife Management Unit, roughly six miles southeast of Wallowa, OR

The initial investigation revealed that the wolf OR 106, a two-year-old collared female, likely died as a result of being shot. OR 106 was a lone wolf that dispersed from the Chesnimnus Pack.
